Well, I originally was trying to create a rainbow effect but this smoothie wanted to get all swirly when I tried to layer the colors. It still came out looking pretty, tasting great, and delivering a good dose of fruit!
It looks like a blueberries-and-cream drink, with the sweetness of mango and banana. Super simple and a lot of fun for kids.
Blueberries deliver a wealth of awesome antioxidants. They are just amazing little berries on their own and they bring a delightful sweetness to even my most botched smoothie recipes!
And bananas. They go into so many smoothies. Frozen, fresh, brown. They add a wonderful creaminess.
Blueberry Mango Smoothie
1/2 c. blueberries
1 c. almond milk
1 banana
2/3 c. frozen mango
Combine the banana, mango and almond milk in a blender. Blend until smooth. Pour half of this mixture into a glass. Add the blueberries to the remaining mixture in the blender and blend for a few more minutes. Pour this mixture gently into the glass. Take a knife and swirl the smoothie around, allowing the colors to merge and mix. Serve!
Great post 🙂
