Chai Latte Smoothie


Free of refined sugar and dairy but packed with plant-based protein and spicy chai flavors.  In a frozen treat!


Cashews, hemp seeds and flaxseeds add creaminess and a punch of protein, with the added benefit of healthy fats.


A simple addition of cinnamon, ginger, cardamom and nutmeg add that distinctive chai flavor and aid in digestion, circulation and decrease inflammation in the body.


Dates add sweetness with nutrients.  Soaking them overnight helps them to blend well.


Ice!  Lots of ice to make it frosty and refreshing!


Chai Latte Smoothie

1 c .water

1 T. hemp seeds

1 T. flaxseeds

1 heaping T. raw cashews

1/4 t. cinnamon

1/4 t. ginger

generous pinch of mutmeg

generous pinch of cardamom

4 dates

2 c. ice cubes

Soak the cashews and the dates in the water for at least 30 min.   (overnight is best).  Place with the remaining ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth, frosty and creamy.
